A jury sided with ex-pro wrestler Hulk Hogan on Friday and awarded him 115 million in his sex tape lawsuit against Gawker Media. A jury of six in Florida awarded the wrestler 115million in damages. It's pretty remarkable that this 25, 26-year-old manages to predict almost exactly the timeline and budget that results in the unprecedented bankruptcy of a media outlet that was doing, at that time, more than five billion page views a year. To settle the lawsuit, Gawker agreed to pay 31 million to Terry Bollea, aka Hulk Hogan, according to a filing Wednesday in US Bankruptcy Court in Manhattan. Hulk Hogan won his lawsuit against Gawker on Friday, breaking down in tears after the jury read their verdict. At trial, Hogan received a 115 million verdict against Gawker, 55 million in economic damages, and 60 million for emotional. He predicts this would take three to five years, that it would cost north of $10 million, but he's very confident they could be successful. Hogan's invasion of privacy suit asked for 100 million.
